Cookies and Hot Chocolate Gift Basket

There's nothing like a Cookie and Hot Chocolate Gift Basket on a cold winters evening to bring a smile to someones face.
For each gift, You're going to need:

A decorative basket
Some homemade cookies, I like to use Chocolate chip, Sugar Cookies and/or Oatmeal Cookies
Plastic wrap
A pint sized Mason jar
A Holiday Mug
Fabric square, about 10" x 10" (you can get these from the remnants section of your local craft, fabric store or your local Wal-Mart)
A rubberband big enough to fit around the neck of the jar.
Seasonal Ribbon
Paper label (I like to print one off of my computer but handwritten is nice too)

For the hot chocolate mix (this will make enough for 3 jars):

1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup non-dairy cream powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 3/4 cups instant nonfat milk powder
1 cup miniature marshmallows

--Wrap cookies in the plastic wrap.
--In a large bowl, mix all of the hot chocolate ingredients.
--Fill the jar with the hot chocolate mix
--Place fabric square right-side down on table. Put jar in center, pull up corners over the neck of the jar. Use the rubberband to secure the fabric.
--Turn the jar right side up.
--Cut a ribbon large enough to go around the neck of the jar about 3 times.
--Attach a label to the ribbon with directions for using the hot chocolate mix: "Add 3 to 4 Tablespoons to 1 cup hot water."
--Tie the ribbon over the top of the rubberband around the neck of the jar.
--Trim the edges of the fabric with pinking shears, if desired.

Arrange jar, mug and cookies in the basket. You may even want to add a pretty bow to the handle of the basket.

I'm sure your friends will enjoy this Cookie and Hot Chocolate Gift Basket!
